Rose Bowl to Fill With Light From Coldplay Fans

Xylobands lighting up everyone on the Coldplay tour A Head Full Of Dreams

Stadium and arena concert tours go to extremes to connect and satisfy fans in the furthest seats, and Coldplay exceeds expectations on this years stadium tour; A Head Full Of Dreams. LED wristbands, called Xylobands, are lighting up everyone, even in the back rows, making every person feel like they are part of the show. Xylobands are an innovative new way live performances have been transformed with LED wristbands.

Very few performers can take a venue as massive as Los Angeles’s Rose Bowl and make a show as spectacular and as dynamic as possible to make sure every person has a great time, including people a quarter mile away in the very back rows. It takes pyrotechnics, lasers, huge video screens, and it takes an innovative new technology called Xylobands

British rock band Coldplay have won awards for their innovative shows with LED wristbands. Xylobands light up to the music, sending waves of brilliant colors and patterns across the audience’s raised hands, an immersive light show that is reinventing the live concert experience, and audiences are loving it. The effect sends visual music across entire stadiums, with the LED wristbands filling the venue with light.

Coldplay’s A Head Full of Dreams tour is in L.A. This week, lighting up fans at the Rose Bowl, a venue so vast it seems almost impossible a handful of musicians can entertain every person. But, that’s why the light up wristbands are so popular. The light show is ‘personal’ and it connects everyone to the music and to each other. A powerful sense of connection helps bond audiences into the moment. The Coldplay tour lighting designers have taken advantage of the millions of colors available in the bright 360 degree LED wristbands, painting even the biggest stadiums around the world with brilliant colors and dramatic effects.

The romantic side of Coldplay’s music was a key feature of one of the top performing stadium tours of 2016, visiting South America, Mexico, Europe, North America, and Australia, New Zealand. Yet, the Xylobands and amazing lasers, confetti, and spectacular lighting and production make the show one of the most successful at making every person part of the show.

Brazil was one of Coldplay’s first tour stops at the launch of the AHFOD tour where a very romantic moment occurred, the band stopped a song to bring fans up to the stage for a marriage proposal. A beautiful personal moment, shared with tens of thousands watching, became unforgettable for all.

Xylobands have an extended band of light that is meant to be seen and shared, so the group light show effect works at all kinds of live events, large or small. LED wristbands are becoming popular at parties, weddings, bar mitvahs, and at corporate events and meetings. LED Lanyards are amazing at large corporate events, where arenas are filled with the interactive light from Xylobands, and attendees are much more engaged then if they were just sitting in the dark.

Coldplay has led the way to a new era for live events of every kind, and the Rose Bowl shows will be a remarkable visual display of the power of shared group experiences using light from LED wristbands.
